The Leaf Origin was founded in 2026 in Oshawa, Ontario with a simple but important idea: the people of Durham Region deserve access to the same nutrient-dense, farm-fresh microgreens that health-conscious consumers in major cities enjoy — without the multi-day shipping and cold storage that strips flavour and nutrition along the way.

Our indoor farm uses modern vertical farming technology combined with old-fashioned dedication to quality. Every tray is seeded by hand, grown in premium Pro-Mix HP soil with organic nutrients, and harvested at peak nutrition. Zero pesticides. Zero GMOs. Zero compromises.

How we grow

Seeding

Every tray is seeded by hand using premium non-GMO seeds. We use Pro-Mix HP growing medium — a professional-grade substrate that gives roots the perfect environment to develop.
Growing

Trays grow for 7 to 14 days in our climate-controlled indoor farm. Consistent temperature, humidity, and full-spectrum lighting ensure uniform, vibrant growth every single batch.
Harvesting

Every Saturday morning, we harvest each tray at peak nutrition and flavour. Cut-to-order means nothing is pre-cut and stored — your order is harvested fresh for you specifically.
Delivery

Same-day and next-day delivery across Durham Region. From our Oshawa farm to your kitchen in hours — not days. No cold storage. No long-haul trucks. Just fresh greens.
