Shipping & Delivery Policy

The Leaf Origin offers local hand-delivery across Durham Region every Saturday and Sunday. All orders are harvested fresh Saturday morning.

Delivery Areas

We currently deliver to the following communities in Durham Region, Ontario:

Oshawa
Whitby
Ajax
Pickering
Courtice
Bowmanville
Clarington

If you are unsure whether your address falls within our delivery zone, please contact us before placing an order. We reserve the right to decline delivery to addresses outside our service area.

Delivery Schedule

Harvest: Every Saturday morning
Delivery days: Saturday and Sunday
Delivery window: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

We do not guarantee specific delivery times within this window. Delivery order is determined by route efficiency. Time-specific delivery requests cannot be accommodated.

Order Cut-Off

Orders must be placed by Thursday at 11:59 PM to be included in that weekend's harvest
Orders placed after Thursday midnight are scheduled for the following weekend — no exceptions

Delivery Fees

Free delivery on all orders over $20 CAD
Orders under $20 CAD may incur a delivery fee shown at checkout
Active subscribers receive free delivery on all orders regardless of order value

Delivery Instructions

You may add delivery instructions at checkout (e.g., "leave at front door", "buzz unit 204"). We follow these instructions where safely possible but cannot guarantee compliance in all cases. We are not responsible for stolen or unsecured packages once delivered per your instructions.

If No One Is Home

If no one is available at the time of delivery, we will leave your order at your door or as instructed. We are not responsible for product quality deterioration if the order is left outside in warm conditions for more than 2 hours. We do not re-deliver for missed pickups.

Failed Deliveries

If we are unable to complete delivery due to an incorrect address or inaccessible location provided by the customer, we will attempt to contact you. A re-delivery fee may apply. We do not issue refunds for failed deliveries caused by customer error.
