Subscription Policy

The Leaf Origin offers a weekly subscription service so you receive fresh microgreens without having to reorder each week. This policy explains how subscriptions work, how they are billed, and how to manage or cancel them.
How Subscriptions Work
- You select your products and subscribe at checkout
- Your payment method is automatically charged each week before your order is harvested
- Subscribers save 15% off the regular price on every order
- Free delivery is included on all subscription orders
Billing
- Subscriptions are billed weekly, on Thursday for that weekend's delivery
- Your first charge occurs when you place your initial subscription order
- All amounts are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes
- By subscribing, you authorise The Leaf Origin to charge your saved payment method on a recurring weekly basis until you cancel
Pausing Your Subscription
You can pause your subscription for any number of weeks by logging into your account before Thursday 11:59 PM for that week. No charge is made during a paused period. Pauses must be set before the weekly cut-off — we cannot retroactively pause a week that has already been charged.
Cancelling Your Subscription
- Cancel any time through your account — no cancellation fees, no minimum term
- Cancellations before Thursday 11:59 PM take effect immediately; you will not be charged for the upcoming weekend
- Cancellations after Thursday midnight take effect the following week — the current week's order will be fulfilled and the charge is non-refundable
Changing Your Subscription
You may update the products in your subscription or change your delivery address at any time before the Thursday cut-off through your account. Changes submitted after the cut-off apply from the following week.
Failed Payments
If your weekly payment fails, we will notify you by email. You have until Friday at 5:00 PM to update your payment details. If payment is not resolved by that time, your order for that week will not be harvested or delivered and no delivery will be made. Your subscription will remain active and resume the following week once payment details are updated successfully.
No Refunds for Processed Subscription Orders
Once a subscription order has been charged and enters the harvest cycle (after Thursday midnight), we are unable to cancel or refund that specific order. Quality issues with delivered products are handled under our Refund & Freshness Guarantee.
Your Rights Under Ontario Law
Under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, internet agreements with recurring charges must clearly disclose the terms of the subscription, which we have done above. You have the right to cancel this agreement. For questions about your rights, contact Consumer Protection Ontario.
